Matheus Cunha quickly became a key figure for Wolverhampton Wanderers, showcasing his versatility in various attacking roles.
The Brazilian adapted effortlessly to the Premier League, thriving as an attacking midfielder, supporting striker, or even leading the line as a center-forward.
Cunha’s standout performances didn’t go unnoticed, with top clubs reportedly keeping a close eye on him. According to Fichajes, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain were all tracking his progress. Despite his impressive form at Wolves, some reports suggested the club could be willing to part with him if an offer over €70 million came through.
Arsenal appeared to be the frontrunner, though Mirror Football highlighted that Wolves were intent on holding onto their star unless a significant bid forced them to rethink.

Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol reports that Arsenal are keeping an eye on Cunha’s situation at Wolves ahead of a potential move this transfer window.
Graeme Bailey, chief correspondent at TBR Football, reported that negotiations for Cunha’s new deal have stalled, with the key issue being the inclusion of a release clause in the contract. However, Wolves aren’t particularly worried.
The club has no plans to sell the Brazilian striker this month, especially since his contract isn’t up. He’s under contract until 2027, so there’s no immediate urgency at Molineux.
