Wolves ‘keen on’ striker as West Brom’s Isaac Price and Josh Griffiths attract interest, Villa ‘to open talks’ | OneFootball

With the season over, Wolves, West Brom and Villa are shaping early summer moves.

Wolves are assessing strikers and have Ellis Simms on their radar after 13 goals in 43 for promoted Coventry City. The Telegraph reports the 25-year-old is being considered, though he is believed to want Premier League football.

Yerson Mosquera is expected to leave, having been linked with Besiktas, and his camp are understood to have agreed a sale with the club. Wolves have also been linked with Jordan James after a strong loan at Leicester from Rennes, where he scored 11, though competition from Leeds and Europe makes a deal difficult. PSV winger Couhaib Driouech is another option amid interest from Club Brugge, Royal Antwerp and a Spanish club.

At West Brom, Isaac Price is drawing attention from Fulham, Crystal Palace and former club Everton after nine goals in his first full season as Albion secured late survival. The Baggies are also chasing Tottenham midfielder Alfie Devine. Preston have activated a £5m option after his loan, but he has yet to agree and Middlesbrough are keen.

Keeper Josh Griffiths is wanted by Stoke City to replace Viktor Johansson after a stop-start year, and he has 12 months left on his deal.

Villa are said to be frontrunners for former Barcelona defender Oscar Mingueza, now with Celta Vigo. They are also understood to be preparing to open talks with Galatasaray over Gabriel Sara, with a €35m fee mooted and the Brazilian keen on the move.
