Wolves delivered an awful performance in a 2-0 defeat to Brentford, short on quality in the final third and punished for errors.

According to Molineux.news, the Old Gold toiled before the break with little attacking invention, while Brentford posed limited threat in a dull opening.

The selection of Jose Sa surprised some, yet he produced several important stops in what felt one of his better outings given his history of mistakes.

A mistake from Ladislav Krejci allowed Lewis Keane-Potter to open the scoring. Brentford then doubled their lead through Keane-Potter again, before Jorgen Strand Larsen missed from the penalty spot.

Ladislav Krejci 4 endured a difficult afternoon. David Moller Wolfe 6 fashioned openings and worked tirelessly, while Joao Gomes 6 linked play neatly.

Andre 5 battled without influence, Fer Lopez 5 showed flashes but was too easily dispossessed, and Hwang Hee-chan 4 lacked confidence and threat.

Jorgen Strand Larsen 3 was isolated and ineffective. Of those on show, David Moller Wolfe had the standout contribution and can be proud of his 6/10.
