Wolves start pre-season as Cesar Peixoto begins tenure ahead of Championship campaign | OneFootball

Wolves reported back for pre-season on Monday as new head coach Cesar Peixoto got to work at Compton. According to ExpressAndStar.com, initial testing and training sessions were held.

Peixoto had arrived at the training base last week and greeted the squad on their return.

New signing Kieran Trippier was among those present, with the club targeting an immediate return to the Premier League.

Senior players including Andre and Mateus Mane featured, and loanees such as Nasser Djiga also checked back in.

None of the eight Wolves players involved at the World Cup will travel to Portugal, each receiving three full weeks off from their elimination.

The squad are due to depart for a training camp in Portugal soon, before playing their first friendly in front of supporters at Maidenhead United on 22 July.
