Women's Bundesliga campaign to start in Linz!

Three months ago, FC Bergheim's 43rd ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga season came to a triumphant end at the Hofmann Personal Stadium in Linz. This Saturday at 13:30, the same team will make its debut in the colours of FC Red Bull Salzburg at the same venue, as they once again face FC Blau-Weiß Linz / Kleinmünchen.

A fond reunion?

In May, Pavlovic's side drew 1-1 with their then neighbours in the table to go unbeaten against the Linz side throughout the season. To ensure that the start of the upcoming season is at least as successful, Katja Wienerroither, who has returned to Austria, has been joined by a quartet from the opponents. Theresa D'Angelo, Lea Krinzinger, Lara Ritter and Emily Schimm could therefore face their former side at the start of the campaign.

Both teams made a good start to the season in the ÖFB Women's Cup - while our team prevailed in style against Alberschwende 8-0 a week ago, the Upper Austrians won their clash against the Wildcats of SV Krottendorf 2-1 (from the Second Women's Bundesliga).

Like every match in this ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga campaign, our first encounter will be broadcast live – on ÖFB TV.

We are incredibly excited that it is finally starting! After these intense weeks of preparing, we are ready to put our game plan into action. Regardless of the opponents, our aim is to play courageously, actively and as a unit - that is the attitude we want to see. We know that the season will bring many challenges, but we want to see that as an opportunity to develop further.
