Sitting atop Group G with 19 points, Algeria holds a four-point lead over Uganda and Mozambique. With just two rounds left in the African zone qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Fennecs have qualification firmly within their grasp.

Riyad Mahrez and his teammates will be looking to punch their ticket by defeating Somalia, the group’s bottom side, before a decisive final clash against the Cranes. On paper, Vladimir Petkovic’s men should have little trouble overcoming the Somalians.

The battle for second place is intense, with Uganda edging Mozambique only on goal difference. It’s all to play for in this final sprint, where every point could prove crucial.
