Tunisia defeated Liberia 3-0 on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Hammadi-Agrebi Stadium in Radès during matchday 7 of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. With this emphatic victory, the Carthage Eagles solidify their lead at the top of Group H.

In front of a packed crowd in Radès, the Tunisians quickly took control of the game. From the opening minutes, their high pressing and rapid transitions put a beleaguered Liberian side on the back foot, struggling with both intensity and organization. The opening goal came as early as the 5th minute. Hazem Mastouri capitalized on a favorable situation inside the Liberian box to break the deadlock and put his team ahead.

The Lone Stars showed some attacking intent but never truly threatened Ali Dahmen in the Tunisian goal. After the break, the Carthage Eagles pressed on and displayed patience to put the result beyond doubt. Ferjani Sassi doubled the lead in the 66th minute with a fine finish after a superb assist from Hannibal Mejbri.

Elias Saad put the result beyond any doubt by netting Tunisia's third goal deep into stoppage time, in the 90+4th minute. This late strike rewarded the Carthage Eagles' relentless persistence, as they maintained their intensity right up to the final whistle.

This victory allows Tunisia to consolidate their top spot in Group H with 19 points after seven rounds. The Carthage Eagles now enjoy a comfortable lead over their closest rivals and have the direct ticket to the 2026 World Cup firmly in their sights.
