Former Red Bull talents will go head-to-head on Sunday as Brazil and Norway battle for a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.
Leading the line for Brazil is former RB Leipzig forward Matheus Cunha, while Erling Haaland spearheads Norway's attack. Both have strong ties to the Red Bull football network. Cunha made 52 appearances for RB Leipzig, scoring nine goals before moving on. Haaland, meanwhile, announced himself on the European stage at Red Bull Salzburg, where he netted an astonishing 29 goals in just 27 appearances.
Since leaving Leipzig, Cunha has gone on to establish himself as one of Brazil's leading forwards, with an impressive spell at Hertha BSC among the highlights of his post-Leipzig career. Haaland's rise has been even more spectacular, with prolific spells at Borussia Dortmund and later Manchester City, cementing his status as one of the world's elite strikers.
Several other players in Norway's squad also have Red Bull connections. Alexander Sørloth, Ørjan Nyland and Antonio Nusa have all represented Leipzig, with Nusa enjoying the most significant spell in Germany to date.
Julian Ryerson meanwhile has enjoyed a fantastic campaign at Borussia Dortmund in 2025/26 - can he excell in this match?
Brazil enter the contest as favourites, but Norway will hope their contingent of former Red Bull players can help pull off an upset and keep their World Cup dream alive.
With kick-off now less than an hour away, here are the confirmed starting line-ups for both sides:
Brazil (4-2-3-1): Alisson - Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Santos - Bruno, Casemiro - Rayan, Martinelli, Vinicius Jr. - Cunha
Norway (4-3-3): Nyland - Ryerson, Ajer, Heggem, Wolfe - Ødegaard, Berg, Berge - Sørloth, Haaland, Nusa
