‘Wow’ – Lamine Yamal pays fresh tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo | OneFootball

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has late this week moved to reiterate his appreciation for the talents and all-round ‘aura’ of Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

This of course comes after the pair locked horns in an altogether significant clash on the international front.

With a place in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on the line, Spain and Portugal did battle in Arlington this past Monday. When all was said and done, it was the former who emerged on the right side of a 1-0 result, to keep their hopes of international glory alive and well.

The fixture proved a headline one in the storied career of the aforementioned Cristiano Ronaldo, set to mark his very last at the World Cup.

Tributes have in turn come pouring in for the 41-year-old across the week to date. And as alluded to above, on Friday, Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal moved to praise Ronaldo once more.

Drawn on the name of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner during an exchange with the media, the 18-year-old explained:

“What is aura? In football, Cristiano Ronaldo. Aura is a person who gives off, something like when they arrive, it’s like… WOW. For example, Brad Pitt or people like that.

“In football, Cristiano would be a good example of aura.”
