Yangel boosts Matarazzo plan for FC Barcelona visit | OneFootball

Real Sociedad stepped up preparations for Sunday’s 21:00 visit of FC Barcelona to Anoeta, as Yangel Herrera returned to full training. According to AS, Pellegrino Matarazzo has regained an important option he said was close last week.

The Venezuelan has been sidelined since matchday 10 against Sevilla after an injury and a setback. He worked with the group today, so midfield choices for the American increase, although this first game of the second half might arrive too soon for him.

Herrera has featured in only two matches for Real Sociedad, on matchdays 9 and 10. He was involved in a sending off in the first and a penalty in the second.

Rino now faces selection calls in a midfield where players such as Turrientes have also earned a place.

Herrera joined Real on the final day of the winter window from Girona, in a deal worth 11 million euros plus variables.
