Premier League clubs are monitoring Yerson Mosquera ahead of next season, with Wolves’ relegation set to be confirmed soon, potentially as early as this weekend if results go against them.

“I’ve got it on good authority that there are Premier League clubs looking at Yerson Mosquera for next season, by the way,” he said, speaking on the E&S podcast.

“It does damage Wolves and it does damage him. Do I think it will damage his career? Probably not to be honest. But there are clubs looking at him and there are clubs that like him.”

Mosquera collected a needless booking against West Ham United that triggered a two-game suspension. He has 14 yellow cards in 33 games for Wolves this season.

Despite bouts of chaos, his performances have improved, yet the identity of any suitors is still unknown.

Wolves are likely to want to keep Mosquera, who cost £4.5 million, with his physicality a strong fit for the Championship. What offers arrive remains to be seen, though his combative style and taste for the dark arts appear to have admirers.
