Arsenal will lock horns with Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the BayArena this Wednesday night as they look to earn a victory in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie. The Gunners managed to secure a 2-1 win over Mansfield Town recently, so they would be eager to earn another positive result in midweek.
Mikel Arteta will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Martin Zubimendi, Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze could all play from the start of this contest.
David Raya will feature in between the sticks for the North London club after he conceded one goal in his last outing. Piero Hincapie will operate alongside Gabriel at the heart of the Arsenal backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Riccardo Calafiori will look to prove his worth as the left-back, while Jurrien Timber gets another chance to shine as the right-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Cristhian Mosquera will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Eberechi Eze, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Odegaard could make up Arsenal‘s midfield. Their main job would be to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Christian Norgaard and Kai Havertz will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Leandro Trossard will try to make a difference on the left flank, while Bukayo Saka looks to weave his magic from the right wing. Both of them will look to make some quick runs in behind the Leverkusen backline.
Gabriel Jesus will lead the line for the North London club on the offensive end of the field. He has to find a way to be a constant menace up top.
Viktor Gyokeres has to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Gunners are in need of a goal by then.
