2 key Barcelona stars are still in doubt for Girona clash | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona could yet be forced to make do without two important players for the club’s next outing.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Barcelona’s infirmary is of course close to full at present.

Amid something of an early-season injury crisis, all of Marc-André ter Stegen, Joan García, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Fermín López are currently unavailable for selection.

Ahead of next weekend’s post-international break return to action against Girona, the hope was that at least the latter two of this group would be back fit and ready to start.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, however, then as much remains far from assured.

As per a report from MD, Raphinha and Fermín remain in serious doubt to play any part against Girona on October 18th.
