23 man Athletic Bilbao squad missing key players is named for Newcastle United match | OneFootball

The Athletic Bilbao squad to travel to Tyneside has been named, for the Newcastle United match on Wednesday night.

The 23 man squad will depart from Bilbao Airport at 3.30pm today.

All eyes were on whether star man Nico Williams would make the Athletic Bilbao squad.

The club announcement (see below) revealing that he won’t be making the trip.

The Athletic Bilbao squad also missing a number of other players.

With Yuri Berchiche, Oihan Sancet, Unai Egiluz, Benat Prados, Yeray Alvarez, Maroan Sannadi, Inigo Lekue and Inaki Williams also not travelling to Tyneside.

The gaffer has called up 23 players for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash at St. James’ Park

Ernesto Valverde has named a 23-man squad for Wednesday’ Champions League match against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park (kick-off is at 21:00 CET / 20:00 GMT).

The travelling party will depart for Newcastle from Bilbao Airport at 15:30 CET on Tuesday afternoon and they’re scheduled to arrive to the Innside by Meliá Newcastle around 17:30 GMT.
