3 Barcelona youth talents called up to senior training by Hansi Flick | OneFootball

A trio of up-and-coming academy stars were afforded call-ups to the first-team setup in Barcelona training on Monday.

This comes amid the Blaugrana’s ongoing preparations for a return to action tomorrow evening.

Barcelona are of course primed to kick the club’s Copa del Rey campaign into gear on Tuesday.

A meeting with minnows Guadalajara lies in wait, with the Catalans no doubt hopeful of a comfortable night’s work en route to booking their place in the Round-of-16.

Widespread changes are expected in Hansi Flick’s XI for the fixture, with several of the fringe members of Barca’s squad primed to feature.

And as alluded to above, joining such players in the battle for minutes on Tuesday earlier today were a trio of youngsters.

As per a report from journalist Sergi Capdevila:

‘Hansi Flick counted on Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández, Tommy Marqués and Jofre Torrents from the reserves for today’s session. No other youth players.’

It now remains to be seen if any of the three are rewarded for their efforts at the Ciutat Esportiva with game time against Guadalajara.
