3 Liverpool stars set to miss Real Madrid clash | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid will not be forced to contend with the contributions of any of Alisson, Jeremie Frimpong or Alexander Isak in their upcoming meeting with Liverpool.

As much was confirmed by Arne Slot on Monday.

Drawn on the fitness situation in his squad during a press conference this evening, Liverpool’s headmaster explained:

“For Man City on Sunday, maybe he (Isak) can be involved in the squad but still not training with the team. Jeremie Frimpong and Alisson will both be unavailable for Sunday.”

Real Madrid are of course primed to make the trip to Merseyside tomorrow evening.

In the headline fixture of Champions League gameweek 4, Los Blancos will lock horns with Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield.

Xabi Alonso’s troops head into the matchup brimming with confidence, fresh off a four-goal drubbing of Valencia over the weekend.

They too will be forced to make do without some high-profile players tomorrow evening, though, with the likes of Antonio Rüdiger, Dani Carvajal and Franco Mastantuono ruled out through injury.
