Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a new goalkeeper, with latest reports naming a big name as a potential replacement for Andre Onana.
The Red Devils are said to be eyeing up AC Milan ‘keeper Mike Maignan for this summer as the club’s board view this position as a priority.
Onana has mostly been pretty poor since joining Man Utd from Inter Milan, and it’s not too surprising to see that Ruben Amorim and co. seem keen to make a change.
Maignan would also surely be an upgrade, and Fichajes claim that the French shot-stopper would be keen to move to the Premier League.
United would surely do well to bring in Maignan to be their new number one, but one imagines it might be tricky to win the race for such a big name.

Maignan is valued at around €35m by Transfermarkt, though one imagines Milan would likely ask for a lot more than that for such an important player.
The 29-year-old has shone for Milan and it’s unlikely they’ll be keen on losing him unless there’s a chance they can get huge money from his sale.
Still, if Maignan himself is keen to try his luck with a move to England, it might be hard for the Rossoneri to persuade him to stay.
United are also understood to be eyeing James Trafford from Burnley, and he’s a fine young ‘keeper who could be another good option.
Still, Maignan is the more proven player so could be better to give MUFC an immediate boost and make them more competitive straight away, whereas someone like Trafford would be more of a signing for the future.
