The club season is coming to a close, but not before some massive games this weekend. The Champions League final, Women’s FA Cup final, and World Cup warm-up games feature in our best of the upcoming weekend.
Nice and Saint-Etienne battle it out for a place in Ligue 1 next season, as the clubs collide in the promotion/relegation play-off. After 10 consecutive top-half finishes, including fourth place in 2024/25, Nice have endured a disastrous decline that leaves them fighting for their top-tier status.
Saint-Etienne are aiming for an instant return after relegation last season, having kept key assets in Zuriko Davitashvili and Lucas Stassin for the promotion push. It’s goalless after the first leg, with everything to play for.

There’s an all-Scandinavian match-up as Norway and Sweden warm up for the World Cup this summer.
Norway blitzed to qualification for a first World Cup since 1998, powered by Erling Haaland’s heroics. The Norwegians are considered potential dark horses this summer, as a Golden Generation returns to the big stage.
Sweden scraped through the play-offs, in large part thanks to Viktor Gyokeres. With Alexander Isak also back fit and available, Sweden has the firepower to trouble teams.

Can the co-hosts, the USA, make an impression at this summer’s World Cup? Mauricio Pochettino’s side, Paraguay, Australia, and Turkey in Group D, and will be confident of reaching the knockout rounds for the fourth straight World Cup.
A tough test against one of Africa’s best sides, Senegal, is ideal preparation.

Brighton bid for a big upset in this weekend’s Women’s FA Cup final. The Seagulls are seeking a first-ever major trophy at Wembley, and are into their first final.
Their opponents, however, have been the best team in England this season. City claimed their first Women’s Super League title in a decade on Wednesday, ending Chelsea’s six-year dominance.
Who will get their hands on the trophy?

Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal meet in club football’s biggest clash this weekend. The Champions League is at stake in Budapest, in what promises to be a mouthwatering spectacle.
PSG are the reigning holders and aiming for back-to-back titles, against an Arsenal team into only their second-ever final, and searching for an elusive European success. It’s the champions of France against the champions of England in a matchup to savour.
