Let's look at what to watch out for on the first night...

It was our pick last weekend and applies again here after an utterly captivating first leg between Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

The French champions battered the Premier League leaders, hitting them with everything they had, to the tune of a 1.78 xG from 27 shots, which is the second most a team has attempted in a Champions League knockout game without scoring (after PSG themselves against Borussia Dortmund last season).

But they were dealt the ultimate sucker-punch from Liverpool substitute Harvey Elliott who incredibly ensured his side would return to Anfield with a lead to protect with his late winner which sets the stage for tonight.

"We'd still have been lucky to get a draw!" Reds boss Arne Slot admitted afterwards. Will his side be better prepared for the PSG onslaught this time as they aim to overturn the deficit?

🔎 Team to Watch

"We want to win the treble. Actually, I should correct myself and say quadruple because we're in the running for the Club World Cup too!"

Those were the buoyant words of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to Sky Sport Italia over the weekend when asked about his side's prospects, making it perfectly clear how they view their chances of winning the big-eared trophy for the first time since 2010.

Inter's European performances give plenty of reason for confidence too, having conceded just one goal in their nine games so far this season, their average of 0.11 goals let in per game the lowest ever of any team to play 5+ games in a single campaign in the European Cup or Champions League.

They are also aiming to keep a clean sheet for the seventh straight home game - becoming the first team since Atlético de Madrid a decade ago to do so and the first Italian team to achieve the feat since Juventus in 2002.

🔥 Player to Watch

History beckons for Harry Kane as he aims to help Bayern Munich finish with a flourish against Bayer Leverkusen following a 3-0 victory at home last week.

The striker has nine goals in 10 appearances in the competition this season (including two in the first leg) which is a personal best for him in a single edition of the tournament.

If he finds the net again, he will become the first Englishman ever to reach double figures for a single European Cup/Champions League campaign.

👀 Potential upset

Outside of PSG, Benfica are the only side in action on Tuesday aiming to overturn a one goal deficit, with both Bayern Munich and Inter in strong positions to advance.

It will be a tough task as they travel to take on a Barcelona side who are still in mourning following the death of their club doctor which saw their weekend meeting with Osasuna postponed.

There is plenty of firepower in the Portuguese side's ranks to cause problems for the home defence too, particularly one which will be without Pau Cubarsí after his red card in the first leg.

The sides have met twice in the tournament already this season, with Benfica falling to narrow defeats on both occasions. Will it be third time lucky?

📊 Fascinating stat

Although it came close to happening last week, PSG's 1-0 loss to Liverpool means they have now played 93 straight games in the Champions League without a scoreless draw - a run stretching back to a 0-0 stalemate against Real Madrid in 2015.
