Germany have officially confirmed their final 26-player squad for the 2026 World Cup, with Arsenal’s Kai Havertz making the cut.
Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann took the opportunity to send a message of support to Havertz, adding his hope that the 26-year-old can stay fit for the summer tournament.
“On the pitch, you are outstanding. Incredibly important for us,” Nagelsmann said. “Stay healthy, clear your mind and go for it. You have everything we need to have a top goalscorer up front.”

Havertz has struggled badly with injuries this season, but he’s played an important role for Arsenal when he’s been fit.
The striker scored a late equaliser in the Champions League last-16 against Bayer Leverkusen, before scoring the only goal in the quarter-final win over Sporting CP.
Havertz’s late goal against Chelsea saw Arsenal into the League Cup final, and his recent goal against Burnley ended up helping the team to win the Premier League when City dropped points the following day.
The forward still has a couple of games left with Arsenal, but he’s now become the sixth Gunner called up for the World Cup, with five more countries still to announce whether Arsenal players have made their squads.
