Borussia Dortmund are willing to sell Jamie Gittens with a total package of around £47m expected to stand a chance of being accepted according to Ben Jacobs.
The Blues have already completed the signing of Liam Delap and more new faces are expected to follow the 22-year-old through the door at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea face a critical window and are looking for a left winger, centre back and versatile forward to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
With Delap signed the main priority for Chelsea is getting a left winger given the lack of options following the departure of Jadon Sancho.
The Blues currently have just Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke and Tyrique George as their winger options at the Club World Cup.
Gittens has been identified as their priority target to fill the role and the Blues saw a £42m bid rejected by Dortmund last week.

According to Sky Germany Dortmund want £55.6m for Gittens, but Jacobs has reported it could be less than that.
“Dortmund are willing to sell Gittens, who is not viewed as a perfect fit within their system, and a package of around €55m (£47m) is expected to stand a chance of success, although the add-ons and structure will prove important in informing the final figure,” He told Give Me Sport.
Gittens scored 12 goals in all competitions last season and is currently at the Club World Cup with the Bundesliga outfit, and came on as a second half substitute in their goalless draw with Fluminense on Tuesday.
Chelsea have reportedly made a verbal enquiry to Lyon about Malick Fofana, with the Ligue 1 club said to want €50m for the 20-year-old.

It appears only one left winger will arrive, with the other attacking signing likely to be a versatile forward, and the Blues have been linked with Hugo Ekitike and Mohammed Kudus.
Frankfurt are demanding €100m for Ekitike, whilst West Ham could be prepared to let Kudus go for less than the £85m clause in his contract.
