It appears that Borussia Dortmund will be about to lose one of its most important players in the upcoming winter transfer window, after many reports emerged about the German club being close to losing more than one other player in the coming months due to interest from other clubs, including very important players for the team such as Adeyemi.
According to the German newspaper BILD, the 23-year-old player, Kalin, has informed the management of the Yellow Locusts that he wants to change cities completely and join another European team.
The reason revealed by the same newspaper was not a sporting one: Tai Anal, the player, wanted to change teams for technical reasons or to seek a new experience in the first place. Rather, the real reason was that the player's girlfriend, Loredana Zefi, wanted to experience living in a new city other than Dortmund, which prompted the player to actually make this decision.
The winds of change began to swirl around Karim Adeyemi. In a decisive move, the young forward severed ties with his representative, appointing a new agent with a clear mandate: to navigate the complexities of his contract with Borussia Dortmund. Their mission was to scour the fine print, seeking a potential exit clause that could facilitate a dramatic departure as soon as the upcoming winter transfer window.
Speculation about his next destination has been rife. The rumor mill, fueled by various media outlets, consistently places two English titans at the forefront of the chase: Arsenal and Manchester United are both cited as holding a serious, sustained interest in securing his signature.
Adeyemi’s journey to Signal Iduna Park began in 2022, with Dortmund securing his services from Red Bull Salzburg in a deal worth €30 million. Since donning the famous "Black and Yellow," he has taken to the pitch 128 times, leaving his mark with a contribution of 32 goals and 22 assists. Despite this, with his current agreement binding him to the club until the summer of 2027, any move would command a significant fee; the valuation experts at Transfermarkt currently price the dynamic attacker at approximately €60 million.
