Celtic meet Aberdeen at the Pittodrie on Wednesday night in a key Scottish Premiership clash.
After a late comeback by Celtic in the last match, Martin O’Neill’s team will be looking to close the gap with league leaders and continue their chase towards the top.
Aberdeen will be without Nicky Devlin for the Celtic game after he suffered a knock in the recent Hearts match. Tom McIntyre is also a doubt due to his muscle injury. Emmanuel Gyamfi is gradually regaining match fitness.
Mats Knoester continues to recover from concussion, Kristers Tobers from a knee complaint, and Nick Suman from an ankle knock.
Celtic boss Martin O’Neill has revealed Kasper Schmeichel stayed home on medical grounds but could return for the upcoming Scottish Cup trip to Ibrox; Viljami Sinisalo takes the keeper’s spot and is likely to hold it for the near future.
The manager mentioned a couple of minor issues post-Ibrox but didn’t specify players, meaning the squad should be otherwise fit despite the heavy workload.
Sinisalo is in goal, and with Auston Trusty banned, the backline stays the same: Julian Araujo at right-back, Dane Murray partnering Liam Scales centrally, and Kieran Tierney on the left.
Alistair Johnston, Arne Engels, Callum Osmand, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Adam Montgomery and Jota are all still unavailable.
They sit eighth in the Premiership table with 29 points from 28 matches, looking to force their way into the top six before the split. The Dons have won three of their last five home matches in all competitions. They recently lost 0-1 against the league leaders Hearts.
Celtic remain third in the table with 55 points from 28 matches but trail leaders Hearts by eight points, albeit with a game in hand that could trim the gap to five. They come to this match after a thrilling 2-2 draw with Rangers on Sunday where they equalised with the help of a stoppage time strike by Reo Hatate.
Aberdeen: Mitov; Lobban, Milne, Morrison, Molloy; Shinnie, Geiger; Olusanya, Cameron, Keskinen; Nisbet
Celtic: Sinisalo; Araujo, Murray, Scales, Tierney; Nygren, McGregor, Hatate; Tounekti, Cvancara, Maeda
