Abi Tobin joins Celtic FC Women | OneFootball

Celtic FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of young defender, Abi Tobin.

The 19-year-old joins the club having most recently played her football in the SWPL last season with Aberdeen.

A lifelong Celtic fan, Tobin has previous experience with the club, having spent time in the Academy during the early stages of her career.

The teenager arrives with plenty of senior experience despite her age, also having spent time on loan at Hamilton Accies in 2024/25.

During that campaign, she was named Young Player of the Yar as Hamilton achieved promotion to the top flight.

That saw her make the move to Aberdeen, where she was a regular in the side last campaign.

The talented defender has also picked up international caps at youth level with Scotland, and most recently scored for her country at Under-19 level in April.

After signing for the club, Abi Tobin said: “It’s obviously a very proud moment for me and my family.

“It's something that you just don't really imagine when you're younger. You would never imagine you being here, so I'm really happy to be here.

“Obviously I'm just really, really glad to be doing it at a club that I love and a big club at that.”
