There’s no longer a shred of doubt – Milan and Inter are on the same page here.

Indeed, both clubs are keen to reshape the iconic San Siro and build a new home, worthy of their names.

Despite San Siro’s rich history and irresistible charm, it’s out of date and requires profound changes.

Instead of refurbishing the old stadium, the Milan clubs want to build a new structure to meet high European standards.

That’s also one of Oaktree Capital Management’s priorities.

AC Milan President Delivers San Siro Verdict to Support Inter

“I have been working on this since 2019 – an incredible amount of time,” Scaroni stated.

“I can’t help but say that after many twists and turns, we have returned to the proposal made six years ago: to build the most beautiful stadium in Europe here in San Siro.”

Despite talks Milan could vacant their home in search of a new ground, Scaroni quashed such rumors.

Indeed, the Rossoneri will stay where they belong, like Inter.

“I regret having had to search for solutions for years in the face of vetoes, protests, and delays typical of our country,” Scaroni claimed.

“But finally, we are here. We have submitted an offer to purchase the areas around the stadium and the stadium itself to start the project.

“Now, the ball is in the Municipality’s court – they must respond to our proposal.

“I am optimistic because I see a great willingness from Mayor Beppe Sala to leave behind a wonderful infrastructure that Milan needs.
