Adam Bareiro addresses Boca Juniors interest after scoring for Fortaleza | OneFootball

Adam Bareiro acknowledged Boca Juniors’ interest after scoring in Fortaleza’s win, stressing his focus remains with the Brazilian club.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Boca have offered about three million dollars to buy his full rights, which are shared by Fortaleza and River.

Speaking after Saturday’s match, the Paraguayan forward said his head is at Fortaleza and he values the trust shown by the team, supporters, team-mates and directors. He credited them for his good form and expressed gratitude.

He added that interest tends to follow good results and any talks would be between the clubs and his agent, including Boca. He said he will keep working and give his best for Fortaleza.

His time at River was modest, after which he was loaned out. Fortaleza later purchased a share of his registration for less than River had originally paid.

In an earlier interview, Boca president Juan Román Riquelme praised Bareiro’s competitive streak and said that is what he likes in a striker. Boca had tried to sign him from San Lorenzo, but the move was blocked and he went to River instead.
