Adeyemi pushes for clarity on Dortmund future amid Aston Villa interest | OneFootball

With one year remaining on his contract with Borussia Dortmund, Karim Adeyemi’s future is uncertain.

Dortmund and Adeyemi have been in talks over a new contract for some time, but have so far been unable to reach an agreement.

According to a recent report from The Athletic, the 24-year-old is open to a move away from the Black and Yellows this summer, with Aston Villa monitoring his situation.

Now, Adeyemi has commented on his uncertain future in an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten, saying he would like clarity as soon as possible.

“I have stated my commitment to Dortmund often enough. I don’t think I need to keep repeating it,” Adeyemi said.

“I want to play for a club that plans with me and communicates that clearly to me.

“For me, it is important to sit down with me and my management and speak openly – regardless of whether the answer is yes or no in the end.”

He added that not everything reported in the media represents the truth.

“I often only find out about many things through the media or because they are sent to me – and they are simply not true. For example, when it comes to salary demands or things like that,” said the BVB star.
