Adil Aouchiche set to join Portsmouth on loan from Sunderland | OneFootball

According to Foot Mercato, Adil Aouchiche (22) is set to join Portsmouth on loan until the end of the season from Sunderland. The two English clubs are in advanced negotiations, and an agreement is close to being reached, which would see the midfielder move to the south coast on a temporary basis.

Aouchiche has already approved the move to Portsmouth. Once the EFL Championship clubs have agreed on the final details associated with the loan move, the former PSG midfielder is expected to travel to complete a medical ahead of being unveiled at Fratton Park. The medical is expected to take place on Thursday night.

The attacking midfielder has struggled for regular opportunities under Regis Le Bris this season. Aouchiche has only featured 8 times in the EFL Championship for Sunderland this term. A move to a divisional rival further down the table will likely see his minutes and opportunities increase.
