The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, officially extended his congratulations to Senegal after their triumph as African champions in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.

During the press conference held on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, on the sidelines of the CAF Executive Committee meeting, the president praised Morocco for its organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

"I express my gratitude to Morocco and to all twenty-four nations that took part in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. We congratulate Senegal on their title." declared Patrice Motsepe.

These remarks serve as CAF's official recognition of the Teranga Lions' continental triumph.
