Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer has expressed his joy at returning to the national team setup as the Desert Warriors hold their preparatory camp in Saudi Arabia ahead of two friendly fixture this month.

The 27 year old last featured for Algeria in June missing several months due to uncertainty surrounding his club situation including his departure from AC Milan & subsequent move to Dinamo Zagreb.

Speaking to Algerian media from Jeddah on Wednesday night, Bennacer said he was thrilled to be back with the squad and eager to contribute to the team’s objectives under head coach Vladimir Petkovic.

The Dinamo Zagreb midfielder praised the positive mood within the camp and underlined the players determination to continue building momentum under Petkovic.
