Atalanta, Ederson and Inter continue to be linked as the January window approaches, and the situation around the Brazilian midfielder has shifted significantly in recent weeks.

Inter were among the clubs exploring his profile in the summer, but Atalanta never opened the door to negotiations and kept their valuation extremely high.

Now, however, agent André Cury suggests the landscape could be very different heading into the winter market.

He spoke to Cadena SER on the programme Què t’hi Jugues!, with quotes via FCInterNews.

Furthermore, Cury openly floated Ederson’s name to Barcelona.

Indeed, emphasising the midfielder’s versatility and physical strength.

“He is a player who I think could adapt very well to Barcelona’s style of play, contributing great physicality and endurance,” he said.

He continued, describing the Atalanta star as a rare opportunity because of his contract situation.

Cury then revealed that Atalanta had rejected major offers over the summer.

La Dea had been asking for “a lot of money, between €60 million and €75 million.”

But the message now is very different. With Ederson moving closer to the end of his contract, the agent believes the club may be forced to soften their stance.

“They could even halve his price, to between €30 million and €40 million,” he explained.

Indeed, calling Ederson “a spectacular player with some of the best statistics in Europe for his role.”

For Inter, the comments will not go unnoticed.

The Nerazzurri have been actively exploring midfield profiles for both January and the summer.

Indeed, Ederson has long been appreciated for his blend of athleticism and box-to-box presence.
