Kocaelispor beat Kayserispor 2-1 in Kayseri to end a three-match winless run and climb to eighth in the Süper Lig.

Daniel Agyei broke the deadlock in the 65th minute, drilling low across Deniz Dönmezer from the right after Ahmet Oguz's pass.

The forward doubled the advantage (73.), sweeping in Darko Churlinov's cut-back. Talha Sariarslan pulled one back from Carlos Mane's pass (81.).

Gökhan Degirmenci preserved the lead with late stops from Semih Guler and Indrit Tuci as Kocaelispor saw it out.

Selçuk Inan's changes told after the break, with Oguz and Churlinov off the bench supplying both assists, and Agyei introduced at half time.

There was a setback for the visitors as Mahamadou Susoho departed injured, with Joseph Nonge coming on late on.

Kayserispor had 56.6% possession and registered 20 attempts. Kocaelispor produced 10 attempts, with four on target.

Kayserispor remain in the relegation zone. Next up, they visit Göztepe. Kocaelispor host Gaziantep next.
