The Championship campaign is approximately two months' old thus far
The Championship season is approximately two months old, with plenty of storylines already being written across the division.
There is already a 16-point difference between the sides at the top and bottom of the second tier after nine games, although the vast majority of the current standings is extremely congested in what is being viewed as an extremely open campaign when looking at the activity across pre-existing clubs as well as those who have been newly-relegated from the Premier League and promoted from League One.
No doubt, plenty of drama is set to unfold in the remaining 37 encounters in what is one of the most unpredictable leagues in world football.
With that being said, FLW asked AI how many points each side will end on over the course of the 46-game campaign, and here are its claims.
According to AI, Sheffield United will remain at the foot of the table for the remainder of the season.
It has been the most disastrous of starts to the campaign for last season's play-off finalists, with Chris Wilder, so far, unable to halt the slide which began during Ruben Selles' well-documented six-game tenure at Bramall Lane.
With United picking up just three points in nine games, AI believes they will accumulate just 27 more and be relegated to League One for the first time since 2017.
It's also bleak times at Sheffield Wednesday right now, with AI believing the cash-strapped Owls' only form of consolation in a season dominated by off-field issues being that they finish five points in front of their Steel City rivals.
Henrik Pedersen's side have been praised for their conduct in the early weeks of the campaign, in which a three-game unbeaten run was ruthlessly ended by Coventry City prior to the international break as they sit on six points thus far.
However, their fate could already be decided in the coming weeks, with a points deduction expected as Dejphon Chansiri's controversial tenure as owner continues to reach new lows.
AI believes that Oxford United will be the best-placed of the relegated sides with a tally of 39 points.
In two of the past three seasons, such a tally would have had the U's relegated as the division's bottom side. However, they will hope to, unsurprisingly, prove such claims wrong under the management of Gary Rowett.
With a total of six points so far, Oxford will hope to claim as many points as possible following the international break, which includes encounters against the lowly Owls and Derby County.
Blackburn Rovers currently sit 21st, one point above the bottom three. Yet, by the conclusion of the season, AI believes a four-point gap will separate the Lancashire side and those headed for League One.
It has been a frustrating start to Valerien Ismael's first full term at Ewood Park after a major squad transformation in the summer, with the Frenchman believing his side haven't had the rub of the green so far.
This was particularly evident when Rovers' home game against Ipswich Town was abandoned after 80 minutes on September 20th, with Ismael's side forced to replay the full encounter at a later date despite being 1-0 up at the time through Todd Cantwell's penalty.
Despite being one of the most active clubs in the summer window, John Eustace's first full season at Derby County has been a slow burner.
The Rams are among a cluster of sides still to have won just the once in the opening months of the season, with their start being particularly draw-heavy with five stalemates.
Unsurprisingly, Derby have scored several goals through summer recruits such as Carlton Morris, Patrick Agyemang and Andreas Weimann, but have also shipped 15 goals at the same time.
As such, AI believes that they will survive with 44 points to their name.
Given their dismal start to life under Liam Manning, it perhaps isn't the greatest of surprises that AI believes Norwich City will finish 19th with a tally of just 45 points.
The 40-year-old was poached from Bristol City in the off-season with the remit of progressing his hometown club after an underwhelming season last time out.
Yet, despite boasting a squad littered with quality such as Josh Sargent, the Canaries' season is yet to spark into life, particularly at Carrow Road, where they have lost all four encounters to date.
AI believes that Wrexham will end the season in 18th on 48 points, having got off to a modest start following promotion.
Whether such a return is deemed successful by the Red Dragons' owners remains to be seen, particularly after enjoying a record-breaking summer transfer window in which several high-quality performers such as Callum Doyle, Lewis O'Brien and Kieffer Moore were recruited.
AI has claimed that the predicted points total is likely to stem from an underwhelming end to the season, in which they face some extremely tricky fixtures.
Next up are their Welsh rivals, Swansea City, who have been tipped to accumulate 50 points and a 17th-place finish in what is Alan Sheehan's first full season in charge.
Despite there being plenty of optimism surrounding the Swansea.Com Stadium at the beginning of the season as Luka Modrić and Snoop Dogg entered the club's circle of investors on top of some eye-catching transfers, the Swans' recent form has been patchy to say the least.
With the Irishman already dividing opinion amongst Swans supporters, AI believes the side currently bang in mid-table will continue to be inconsistent in the coming weeks and months.
AI predicts that Portsmouth will once again finish 16th, albeit with a slightly lesser points return of 51 this time around.
It has been a solid start to the season for John Mousinho's side, who are looking to build on a consolidatory campaign, and that has been evidenced with a handful of narrow victories - the latest seeing them end Middlesbrough's unbeaten start at Fratton Park.
Despite having numerous attacking threats, it seems as if their season this time around will continue to be built on a watertight defence.
Regardless of the club's financial backing and lofty ambitions, AI believes a total of 52 points will only see Birmingham City finish 15th.
Once again, a return of 12 points from 27 available is a fairly respectable start for a newly-promoted side. However, with expectation levels at an extremely high level, it has left some feeling underwhelmed, albeit that isn't Chris Davies' outlook on proceedings.
Blues are currently one a run of one win in six Championship games, and that will certainly need to be addressed going forward if they are to mount a sustained play-off bid, which AI believes is out of reach based on recent form.
