Al-Hilal continued their Austrian pre-season under Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, with resistance parachutes featuring in training as they build towards the 2026-2027 campaign. Images emerged from Saturday morning’s session days before the camp concludes.
According to Goal.com, the club’s account on X posted photos showing several players sprinting with parachutes strapped to their backs.
The devices, known as resistance parachutes, attach to the body and catch air as the athlete accelerates, increasing drag. The faster the player runs, the more resistance they generate, creating self-adjusting load without manual changes.
Coaches use them to sharpen sprint power, boost explosive strength and lift top speed. The drills also harden leg and thigh muscles while improving running mechanics.
Attention now turns to Qatar’s Al-Ahli on Monday, the fourth and final friendly of the Austrian camp before the new season begins.
So far in Austria, Al-Hilal have beaten Sturm Graz 2-1 and Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0, then lost 2-0 to MC Alger.
