Al Hilal earmark huge budget to sign Luis Diaz | OneFootball

Al Hilal have earmarked a vast budget to pursue Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz this summer, with a package that could break the Saudi transfer record.

According to Goal.com, the Colombian tops their shortlist after the capture of Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United, and Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes, who will take charge at Al Hilal once the window closes, is leading talks with Diaz.

The Saudi club have not yet opened official negotiations with Bayern Munich, preferring first to convince Diaz to join.

To secure his agreement, Al Hilal will offer the former Liverpool star an annual salary of 25 million euros.

If Diaz agrees, Al Hilal would then offer between 120 and 150 million dollars to Bayern Munich, which would make him the most expensive signing in Saudi league history, eclipsing the 90 million euros Al Hilal paid Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar in summer 2023.

Al Hilal have set aside a 350 million dollar summer signings budget and have already added six players, including Mohammed Al-Owais, Sabri Dahl, Abdullah Al-Anzi, Mohammed Al-Sarnukh and Nawaf Al-Habashi.
