Alan's early strike lifts Moreirense to seventh | OneFootball

Moreirense beat Estoril 1-0 on Monday in Moreira de Cónegos to rise from ninth to seventh in Liga Portugal.

Alan broke through in the 12th minute, rifling a right-footed shot from outside the box after a neat pass from Afonso Assis.

Yanis Begraoui drew a sharp low save from André Ferreira (18.). Moments later, Martin Turk denied Rodri Alonso from close range (22.).

Pedro Carvalho thumped the left post (29.). After the restart, Rafik Guitane crashed the bar from the right side of the box (59.).

Turk kept Estoril in it with strong stops from Alan (66.) and Landerson (71.), as the hosts threatened from crosses and cut-backs.

Ian Cathro turned to João Carvalho at the break, but Vasco Costa's changes made the difference. Yan Lincon Farias de Sousa headed over from a corner after Alan's delivery (72.).

Moreirense registered 11 attempts, with four on target. Estoril saw more of the ball at 57.3% but managed only four shots, two of which hit the woodwork.

Estoril slip from eighth to ninth. Next, Moreirense visit Benfica. Estoril host Famalicão.
