Alexander Isak opens the scoring for Liverpool then leaves injured and in tears against Tottenham

Alexander Isak opened the scoring for Liverpool against Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday, then suffered an injury and was in tears.

He struck on 57 minutes, then in the same move was caught by a late tackle from Micky Van de Ven after his shot. As reported by L'Équipe, he stayed down for a long spell.

The Sweden striker eventually rose to his feet and walked off under his own power.

Isak, 26, has had a difficult start to the season with Liverpool, scoring once in the League Cup in September and once in the Premier League against West Ham in late October.

His goal also provided Florian Wirtz with his first league assist for the Reds. The fellow new signing has been finding it hard to settle.
