The penultimate Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final has thrown up a heavyweight showdown between Algeria and Nigeria. Both nations have been praised for their free-flowing attacking football thus far and this last-eight showdown is not expected to disappoint from an entertainment purpose.

Nigeria should be the fresher of the two sides after easing through their round of 16 clash against Mozambique earlier in the week as Algeria were taken all the way to extra-time by DR Congo before prevailing with a dramatic goal from Adil Boulbina in the 119th minute. That said, Eric Chelle's side preparations for the game were affected by a reported payment dispute which has seen been settled, meaning this highly anticipated quarter-final will go ahead.

There are five AFCON titles between the Desert Warriors and the Super Eagles, though for one, the journey at this year's tournament will come to an end at the Marrakesh Stadium this afternoon.
