All 156 places across the four national divisions are now confirmed for 2026. According to Globo.com, the CBF’s 1 October calendar changes lengthen the top flight and expand Série D from 64 to 96, while A, B and C have 20 each.

The final Série D berth was settled on Christmas Eve, when Tocantinópolis beat Gurupi to reach the Tocantinense semi-finals. The result puts TEC into the state final and, via that route, secures their place in the competition. Parnahyba of Piauí inherited the berth via the CBF ranking.
