Allan, an academy graduate, has opened 2026 as Palmeiras’ first-choice on the right, but he is now under pressure to retain his place following Jhon Arias’s arrival, as reported by Globo.com.

The 21-year-old leads the squad for successful dribbles, with 14 in 14 appearances across the Paulista and the 2026 Brasileiro. He has scored 3 goals and is still chasing a first assist after providing 6 last year.

His standout display came against Fluminense in late February in the league. Against São Paulo and Novorizontino he met stiffer resistance from full-backs, which Abel Ferreira views as a natural outcome of tighter marking by certain opponents.

Beyond take-ons, Allan ranks fifth in the squad for chances created per match at 0.77, and fourth in total key passes with 10. He has also made 21 tackles, the second-highest in the group, averaging 1.5 per game.

Arias, the Colombian, prefers the right and directly contests Allan’s berth, though he has also featured on the left. He has not started yet, and Ferreira has stressed the team is more than the starting 11.

With a long campaign ahead and few positions strengthened for 2026, Allan has the platform to try to cement his spot.
