Allan ‘to miss’ Flamengo clash as Corinthians decline clause fee | OneFootball

ID Corinthiana reports that Corinthians have decided not to pay the fee in Allan’s loan that would allow him to face Flamengo, so the midfielder will miss Sunday’s match.

Corinthians had rested players against Chapecoense in round seven to keep them fresh for the round eight meeting with Flamengo, but the clause prevents Allan from featuring against his parent club.

The midfielder joined Corinthians in early February and has made 10 appearances, starting six, including a 90-minute outing against Chapecoense. Raniele is the most likely to take the role.

Flamengo signed Allan in 2023 from Atlético-MG, but he struggled to secure a place and had injuries. If Corinthians choose to buy him at year end, the price is 2.5 million euros, about R$ 15.5 million, for 50 per cent of his economic rights.

Flamengo host Corinthians at the Maracanã on Sunday 22, with kick-off at 20:30 Brasília time, in the eighth round of the Brasileirão.
