Former Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri made a surprise visit to Serie A outfit Parma on Wednesday, where he spent time with Christian Chivu and his coaching staff during the afternoon’s training session.
Allegri has been out of work for just shy of a year, following Juventus’s decision to give him his marching orders after the Coppa Italia final in 2024, despite coming home with the trophy.
Since then, he has been linked with a series of jobs in Serie A and abroad, most notably with Milan in recent months, and also with Premier League outfits Manchester United and West Ham earlier in the 2024-25 campaign.
None of those moves have materialised, and Allegri appears to be in no rush to get back into a head coach role, although his trip to Parma suggests that he is happy to keep a keen eye on developments.

Wednesday’s trip to Parma, was solely a friendly visit, though.
A statement from Parma released on Wednesday read: “A friendly, courteous and very welcomed visit to the Mutti Training Centre in Collecchio: Massimiliano Allegri was present to attend the men’s first-team training session,
The coach, accompanies by CEO Federico Cherubini, attended the whole of Cristian Chuvu’s session, with whom he spoke at the end of training for a chat along with the technical staff.
“During the meeting in Collecchio, Allegri visited the Gialloblu sports facility and clb headquarters for the first time.”
