Ancelotti names Palmeiras academy trio as key to Brazil’s next cycle | OneFootball

Brazil are starting a new cycle towards the 2030 World Cup after elimination by Norway, with veterans such as Neymar, Casemiro and Danilo nearing the end of their time. Ancelotti has flagged Palmeiras academy talent as central to that rebuild.

"There are youngsters who have already been with us, Estêvão, Rayan, Endrick, they are going to be very important. Vitor Reis, for example. Naming players is complicated, but there are youngsters in the Brasileirão, goalkeepers who are playing and showing the quality to potentially be in the national team," Ancelotti told GE.

Endrick featured at the last World Cup. Estêvão missed it through injury, while Vitor Reis has already appeared on the Italian coach’s list.

Brazil remain in pursuit of a sixth world title, but first will contest the 2028 Copa América. Ancelotti considers winning it decisive in strengthening the path towards 2030.

The Italian highlighted the importance of youth development and said he keeps regular contact with Paulo Victor, the former Palmeiras man who now coaches Brazil’s Under-20s. In the latest call-up, Palmeiras had five players and remain a leading force at youth level.
