After months of speculation and rumours, it is now official – Carlo Ancelotti will not become the next coach of the Brazil national team.

What once looked like a done deal has completely collapsed, leaving many to question what lies ahead for the Italian manager and what it means for Real Madrid.

The reports linking Ancelotti to Brazil were strong and consistent. Many believed it was only a matter of time before he took charge of the South American giants.

In fact, it was said that he had already given his word to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). But the situation has now changed, and with the deal falling through, there is a lot of confusion and finger-pointing.

The breakdown between Ancelotti, Brazil, Perez and Madrid

From the start, this was not a simple story. Ancelotti reportedly told Real Madrid that since they were planning to move on without him, the club should pay him a severance fee.

But Madrid saw it differently. They believed Ancelotti was not being let go – he was choosing to leave for another job. Club president Florentino Perez even got involved personally and blocked the move.

Adding to the drama, timing became a huge issue. Brazil wanted Ancelotti to take over in June, while Real Madrid insisted on keeping him until the Club World Cup, their main shot at silverware this season.

Brazil could not wait and asked for an earlier start, which did not sit well with the Spanish club.

The meeting in London

Things got even messier when Ancelotti travelled to London to meet with Brazilian officials and sign the contract. During this meeting, he told them he could only join in August, not June as expected.

Brazil were taken by surprise as everything was already arranged on their side. This miscommunication upset everyone involved and caused friction between Ancelotti, Real Madrid, and Brazil.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti himself started having second thoughts. Two major reasons came into play: he found it difficult to imagine life in Brazil, and he was concerned about the lack of stability in the Brazilian football federation.

Furthermore, even people close to him advised against the move, warning that it might not be the right fit.

Saudi Arabia ready to make big move for Ancelotti

With Brazil out of the picture and his future at Real Madrid uncertain, a new opportunity has emerged – Saudi Arabia. According to reports, Ancelotti has received a massive offer from the Middle East.

The proposed contract would pay him around €50 million per season, after tax. It is a huge amount and one that would be hard for anyone to turn down, especially someone nearing the final years of their career.

While nothing is confirmed yet, it cannot be ruled out that Saudi Arabia could be Ancelotti’s next destination.

The offer is already on the table, and with Brazil no longer an option and Real Madrid looking ahead to a new chapter, the decision could come soon.

This sudden turn of events has not only surprised fans but also raised many questions about Ancelotti’s future.

Will he stay in Europe, or will he accept the record-breaking offer from the Middle East? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear – a big decision is on the horizon for the Italian manager.
