Andoni Iraola could be managing in the Bundesliga next season with reports suggesting an agreement is set to be made to take over at Bayer Leverkusen.

The Spaniard led the Cherries to an impressive sixth place in the Premier League but announced his departure from the club earlier in the season.

Reports had suggested that Iraola would likely replace Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace but a late twist may see him move to Germany instead. According to Kicker, Iraola and Leverkusen are in 'final talks' over his appointment.

Leverkusen began the 2025/26 campaign with Erik ten Hag but the former Manchester United boss was dismissed after overseeing just three games in charge with Kasper Hjulmand eventually leading the club to a sixth placed finish in the German top flight which sees them in the Europa League next season – where they could potentially meet Bournemouth or indeed Crystal Palace.

In total, Iraola oversaw 127 games in charge of the Cherries, winning 47, drawing 40, and suffering 40 defeats.
