Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has emerged as a candidate to coach Bayer Leverkusen alongside Hürzeler.

Kicker reports that Kasper Hjulmand is widely expected to leave at the end of the season, and Leverkusen are identifying potential replacements.

After Brighton & Hove Albion coach Fabian Hürzeler was initially linked, Iraola has now been identified as an alternative.

The 43-year-old Spaniard is set to leave Bournemouth at the end of the season after a three-year spell. That would make him available on a free transfer, unlike Hürzeler who would require a fee in the double-digit million range.

Under Iraola, Bournemouth are 11th in the Premier League and on a 12-game unbeaten run.
