André Carrillo equals Fausto Vera on 96, enters Corinthians’ top nine foreign appearance list | OneFootball

André Carrillo strengthened his place in Corinthians history by coming on in the second half of the 3-1 win over Grêmio on Saturday. According to Meu Timao, that appearance moved the Peruvian up the club’s ranking of foreign appearance-makers.

He is level with Argentine Fausto Vera on 96 outings. Vera played for Corinthians from 2022 to 2024 and is contracted to Atlético Mineiro, currently on loan at River Plate. The pair sit joint ninth.

Carrillo’s next target is Colombian Victor Cantillo, eighth on 118. The milestone could be reached this season, as Corinthians have at least 24 matches remaining across the Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil and Libertadores.

Paraguayan Ángel Romero tops the list with 377. The podium is completed by Fabián Balbuena on 167 and Colombian Freddy Rincón on 158.

From the current squad, Argentine Rodrigo Garro sits fifth with 134, four fewer than fourth-placed José Hungarês on 138.

Corinthians now pause for the World Cup. They are due back in July to resume domestic and continental duties.
