André Carrillo played the full second half as Peru drew 2-2 with Honduras at the Estádio Municipal de Butarque in Leganés, Spain, on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old began on the bench before Mano Menezes sent him on at half-time for Yotún with the game at 1-1. He saw out the match with a low-key display.

Jairo Vélez put Peru ahead twice. Luis Palma and Darlin Mencía levelled for Honduras on each occasion.

He registered 28 actions on the ball and completed 84% of his passes, 21 of 25, with four losses of possession. He won one of five ground duels, made two recoveries and one clearance.

Back with the national team after three FIFA windows, Carrillo started Menezes’ debut on Saturday against Senegal, a 2-0 defeat, and played almost 70 minutes.

Due to the short turnaround, he will not be available to Dorival Júnior on Wednesday when Corinthians visit Fluminense at 21:30 at the Maracanã in the ninth round of the Brasileirão. Goalkeeper Hugo Souza will also miss out, having been called by Brazil to face Croatia at 21:00.
