The club are reshaping their squad for Clausura 2026 and Concachampions, with ins and outs expected only after the full group reports following 17 December.
Amid numerous rumours, 365 Scores reports that André Jardine has identified six areas to strengthen during the winter window.
The positions are said to be a back-up goalkeeper, a defender, a reserve left-back, a holding midfielder, an attacking midfielder and a box-to-box midfielder.
There appears to be no move for a centre-forward, with Henry Martín, Raúl Zúñiga, Rodrigo Aguirre and Patricio Salas seen as the options for that role.
Seeking a back-up keeper is linked to Luis Ángel Malagón, who is due to report in late April to the Mexico national team. He would therefore be unavailable for the Liguilla and the latter stages of Concachampions.
This could also affect other Mexican call-ups, including Álvaro Fidalgo, who is very likely to be part of the team that goes to the World Cup with Mexico.
Meeting all six targets looks difficult, particularly with non-homegrown slots needing to be freed first. The plan now is to wait and see whether the board can deliver the reinforcements Jardine wants.
