Andrea Radrizzani backs £68m Crysencio Summerville move, will Leeds United get a cut? | OneFootball

David Ornstein reported on Tuesday that Al-Hilal have agreed a £68m deal to sign West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville. Andrea Radrizzani has publicly endorsed the move, and Leeds United will not receive a sell-on cut.

Fabrizio Romano says Roma lodged a third bid worth £40m plus add-ons, while Al-Hilal grew confident after a major proposal to the player and West Ham.

“We discovered Summerville and brought him to England from the Netherlands. He’s a fantastic guy, totally focused on football, with strong core values.” He told Retesport 104.2FM.

“In his first year, he struggled to establish himself and wanted to leave. I convinced him to stay and promised him an easy exit route if he hadn’t made his mark by autumn. Then in November, he started against Liverpool and scored.”

“He has grown tremendously, and if Roma sign him, it would be a major coup.”

West Ham bought Summerville from Leeds in 2024 for an initial £25m plus £9m in add-ons. The extras were split between £5m for performance targets and £4m for senior Netherlands caps, which he achieved this year. There is no evidence of a sell-on clause, so West Ham keep the proceeds and Leeds receive no further windfall.
